Christian recording artist Mark Schutz performed at a sold-out concert at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Earlier in the day, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (BSLC) celebrated their new building with a dedication ceremony.

Concert goers were lined up all the way to the parking lot, waiting to get their choice of seats. People were allowed into the building about 6:00.

The concert was completely sold out, and the sanctuary filled fast.

Our friends over at KGBI made an appearance.

BSLC’s own worship team led a time of praise and worship just before Mark came out.

Larger than life, even!

Please welcome Mark Schultz.

At one point during the concert, Mark asked us to think waaaay back to the 80′s when everyone used to wave their lights during a performance. This, of course, is the 21st century version of that. I’m not sure the young fellow in the lower left of this picture was quite getting the idea.

Right after the last song, these three girls spring from the front row to ask for a quick autograph.

Hey, what’s a guy to do?

After the concert, it was announced that Mark would be coming out for a “Meet & Greet” time. Eager attendees lined up in the foyer and waited.

As has happened at other concerts, I fully expected Mr. Schutz to come out and sit at the table, autographing items as they are handed to him by his helpers. It was quite exciting to see that instead, he actually walked around the tables. He personally greeted and visited with nearly everyone in line.

I’d not seen this before … autographing an MP3 player.
